I agree with everything you said, except the part in bold. I wrote a letter to Disney after our trip in November discussing MANY things that were not up to standard for the price we paid for 2 trips, one in September and one in November. We have been annual passholders for 3 years and did not renew due to us not seeing the value in it anymore. I received a phone call from someone at Disney to discuss my letter. Maybe this is EXACTLY what Disney needs to start stepping their game back up. If no one complains directly to Disney (not on a forum like this) or expresses their concern with things they had a bad experience with, Disney will rest on its laurels and keep things as it is. Hardcore Disney fans like us, we know what's going on right now in the parks isn't their best. They're taking steps in the right direction (New Fantasyland, Frozen replacing Maelstrom (even though I disagree with this) and Avatar) but then again they are also taking steps in the wrong direction (cutting WS entertainment, limiting FP to 3...) We have no plans to visit WDW other than 1 night at MVMCP in November. We've been to the party twice already so we won't be focusing on the party stuff but rather the attractions. $30 less than an MK 1 day pass and we still get 8 hours in the park. This is following a 7 day cruise on DCL that we see far more value in. What would have been 2 trips to WDW in April and November next year are now going to be a 5 night cruise on the Wonder and a 7 night stay at Disneyland where we will purchase APs so we can return in 2016. We had our first visit to DL this year and found it to be much better than our experiences at WDW in the last few years so we will spend our money there and on DCL for the foreseeable future. I'm actually very happy and proud that we are sticking with our decision to stop going rather than caving and giving in and booking a trip because "we still love it, even though it's not up to our standards and perceived value"
