When in Rome: Fall helms 'Lizzie!'
(Hollywood Reporter) -- Jim Fall has signed on to helm the Walt Disney Co.'s "Ciao Lizzie!" the big-screen adaptation of the studio's hit teen series "Lizzie McGuire," which airs on the Disney Channel. The film is sched-uled to start shooting Oct. 14. The TV series, starring Hilary Duff, follows the life of a 13-year-old girl and her family, friends and animated self. Duff also will star in the feature film version, which sees Lizzie graduate from middle school and take off to Rome for a summer vacation. One of the series' executive producers, Stan Rogow, is shouldering producing duties from a script by Susan Jensen. A spring release is being eyed.
