When does Downtown Disney officially become Disney Springs?

A few posts from the official parks blog make mention of shops now open at Disney Springs, yet I thought we hadn't made that official transition yet. All of the signage and the website still call the whole area Downtown Disney. I presume the newly renovated areas are already called Disney Springs, but what about areas that will carry over? When do they switch?

This area morphing into another area is quite confusing...

Probably until the entire shopping district is finally completed....How long did it take them to rename the Walt Disney World Village to Downtown Disney/Pleasure/West Side?

They have not yet announced a switch over date.
