When do you think Disney is gonna go into the roller coaster wars

I don't mean the tallest roller coaster because that wouldn'tbe Disney. I mean like more than 1 or 2 coasters and cheap kiddie coasters.

I don't think they ever will. I think you'll see them release a new coaster occasionally, but they will be rare. And when they are released, they will not be like any other coaster you've ever ridden. (RnR SM)

I don't think they have to, but if they do, the coasters will be original like RnR, Disney wouldn't put in a Millenium Force type coaster in say the Magic Kingdom. A large coaster in any of the current parks would lessen the Disney experience.

If you want the coasters, go to Cedar Point or any Six Flags, if you want original, GENIUS type attractions, Visit WDW!

I just hope that Disney isn't pulled into a war with Universal over coasters. As much as I love upside-down roller coasters, I hate to see them in Disney. If they are themed like RnR, then I can take 2 or 3, but more than that is there simply for competition with Universal/IOA.

I think Disney has so much more to offer than huge roller coasters. Take a ride like Dinosaur or Indian Jones... I think Disney can capitalize on rides of this nature and easily beat their competitors.

They will never get into the coaster wars. Disney wasn't built on huge mega coasters, but more about the themeing. I like the RnR, and Space Mountain, but I don't want to see a 200 foot hight inverted coaster at WDW. It's just not what Disney's about. That's why we have Six Flags. :)

I would not like WDW if they turned to coasters. I dont go to parks to pee in my pants, but I want to ride new things besides the same ol' up and down. Disney coasters are different, but i go to disney for something new.

WEll, it has been said well enough here, they won't, thankfully. Now they could, and it would be great, but that is not what Disney is about. I view Disney as a Theme park. I view other places such as Univeral as amusement parks. Both great in their respective areas (Well, no Disney just kicks Universals butt (I have to say that))

Another way to look at it is that places like Universal need to keep build coasters and thrill rides to bring back people, Disney doesn't have to do that to draw people back time after time...

Disney will never need to get into the roller coaster wars although a salvo here and there wouldn't hurt. One major roller coaster per park should be just about right although I'm sure many would complain about a roller coaster being added to EPCOT.

If they can allow Imagineering to get back to what they do best instead of nickel and diming everything (like JiYI), Disney shouldn't need a bunch of roller coasters to compete.
