I guess it started when I looked forward to my vacations more and more each year. I started looking for websites such as this to fill my addiction when I couldn't be in WDW. I would read guides, listen to music, and just wish I could be in WDW. Then I realized I was hooked...and I was happy.

I've always loved WDW since I was a kid but I never became really obsessed until I met my fiance. Now that I have someone to share my obsession with it is so much better. Plus, now that I don't live with my parents anymore we can take as many trips as we can save for.

I've been obsessed ever since I was a toddler so theres not really a point where I can remember falling in love with Disney since I was so young.

I sorta went through a short stage in High School where I didn't want to admit I loved Disney in fear of what people would think about me and started to ignore how obsessed I was. Now I really don't care anymore and will tell everyone how much I love it but it seems like people that don't understand the Disney magic think guys that like Disney are all gay. Eh, whatever, call me gay but I'm obsessed with Disney and I'm not afraid to admit it anymore. It's not like I'm dressing up like Cinderella, right? :p

The thing that stands out the most as being obsessed is spending $300 on Disney stuffed animals during one of our many trips. To some people that doesn't sound like a big deal but I was in 8th grade and the only money I made was an allowance of $15 a week... and I "blew it all" on Disney stuffed animals. I still have them all sitting on my couch and I get some weird looks when people see all of them for the first time. :hammer: :D

hey people i went at the the of 5 and was not able to return until 17!..... Man was i suprised and amazed MAGIC was all over me and never left me. My friends that dont go or have never been DOES NOT understand about MAGIC but WE all know! The MAGIC comes from little things like seeing the purple signs when you get on property to seeing WISHES. ITS JUST MAGIC!. I get mad sometimes for what Disney like to charge for the magic, but for people like US that MAGIC it does not matter what is cost. I heard about a sweet little 3 year old that got to ride on the GRAND ONE for a fireworks cruise telling her mommy there was MAGIC falling from the sky during WISHES. People if thats not the magic i dont know what is. I dont post alot but look here everyday. I AM OBSESSED. Hope every one is doing well and take care.

Remember if your in WDW and see a RCFD fireman tell him THANK YOU! because they are there for YOU!

"I'm not obsessed - I just have an unnatural interest in a fantasy land where I go to escape reality"
Always enjoyed Disney films as a child / teen, but obsession didn't set in until my first WDW visit in '94 - I've returned since then as often as we could afford it

My obsession kind of snowballed. We went every year for a while when I was a kid. Back then I just liked the parks. But within the past few years, it's slowly grown into a fanatical obssession and I can't get enough Disney World.

I think it was when I started to get depressed everytime I would leave. Then I started downloading Disney soundtracks for the rides, it was official.

It's funny after the first time I was there I though I would not be goin back. I think it was one of those thing thst everyone built it up so much that I was like OK this is just ok. THEN, I got to go back on a family reunion trip and I WAS HOOKED! Being there with everyone and my kids being a few years older, I was depressed when leaving and started planning the next trip as well as seeking web sites books and music, the rest is history and my next trip can not come fast enough. Now my son and brother are just as crazed as I am and that makes it even more fun!

I wouldn't say that I am obsessed. Does an obsessed person visit Disney websites only twice a day? Does an obsessed person work on Excel spreadsheets organizing their upcoming trip at least once a day? Does an obsessed person start every conversation with another non-obsessed person with "when we were at WDW at Christmas..." How can you say I'm obsessed? I don't find it to be an obsession, I call it a lifestyle.

Honestly I didn't realize that I had a "problem" with Disney until after I got married and spent my honeymoon at Disney for 10 days- people were saying how crazy we were and stuff like that- now most of our house is filled with Disney stuff and we go at least every other year to Disney.....I just thought it was a great way to spend a vacation and to decorate the house.....Who knew it was an obsession :D

November 19, 2004 - The day we arrived for our first family vacation. We loaded into the Carribean Beach Resort, toured around a bit, and went over to Epcot to ride a few rides and catch Illuminations. The looks on my kids faces (an my own, I'm sure) and we were hooked.

In 1969, when I found out they were building a bigger Disneyland but in Florida. In the early 70s when I saw the monorail going through the Contemporay on the Wonderfull World of Disney. When I saw the polynesian lua. When I rode space mountain for the first time. When they built Epcot I was a goner. When I saw Boardwalk resort area for the first time.

I've loved WDW since the day those magical gates opened. Then about 7 years ago I moved out of state, and I began wearing WDW apparel more often, pins on every shirt, jacket, etc..Disney music plays in my garden, my year is planned around visiting WDW, but it was when I began using the phrase "Have a Magical Day", I knew my heart belonged to Disney.

September 9, 2003. My first trip to WDW as an adult. My last previous trip was 17 years earlier. I've been 6-7 times since then and was actually going to go for a day trip today, but I woke up late (kept hitting snooze) - 7 hours drive roundtrip and only 4-5 hours at WDW didn't seem feasible when I finally woke up. But I'm going for a few days in May, just haven't decided which week yet.

Anyway, since Sept '03 I can't help thinking about Disney. I've gotten nearly all the animated movies, Walt Disney Treasures, and several live action movies on DVD. I've been able to compile the soundtrack from WL lobby. Shares of WDC and Pixar stocks. etc etc & I need more :) I'm reading these forums everyday as well as a few other key websites. My TV is on a Disney Channel at least a couple hours a day (if only for the noise) And my best friend says I should work for Disney.

I'm not obsessed am I? Do I need help? I think not!! Everyone has/needs an obsession and at least mine doesn't hurt anyone.

For me? 6th grade. My Dad brought home a copy of Birnbaums and I read it multiple times cover to cover then convince my family to take our first trip there for the Millenium Celebration. Now, I'm planning trips on my own for me and my friends!
