When AP fall rates?

My wife and I want to go to Disney world in the fall, late sept or early oct. I am looking for the best rate at WL. When do the fall AP rates come out? Also should I book a room now and change it when the rates come out? Thoughts? Just make sure we get a Standard room.

You could book now, then when discounts come up you can call and have them applied to your reservation.

Yes - book now ...the rack is around $388.00 for a standard room. We stay there every November and have really had a hard time getting discounted rates for standard rooms - we book 3 rooms so a discount for us is really important! They have released discounts now for stays through August 1 - October 7!

I have the same question. We booked our room with no discount at all! Then when the discounts did come out the rooms were all gone, or they weren't offering any for club level. We would consider becoming AP holders if it meant some discount on our rooms. How do you know when AP discounts come out if you're not currently an AP holder? Thanks for any info.

There is a newsletter called Mousesavers --they show a history of when discounts have been released --they also show the current discounts and any codes that are available. I will start calling WDW at the end of July looking for the AP discount ..the general public discount will be out sooner than that and I will be watching for that as well - hopefully I can at least get that discount and perhaps be able to pick up the AP when it is released. I follow Mousesavers on Facebook so if a discount becomes available for the general public it pops up in my newsfeed. Hope this helps!
