When a ride or show gains an extra odd experience

I was a closet Norway movie fan. I absolutely loved the music/score. The last few times I went on Maelstrom and sat down to watch the movie it honestly made me a little sad to see most people just kept walking and left the theater.
I felt that whole situation was kind of the beginning of the end for the Epcot Pavilion concept. The idea of passing through several shows as part of a pavilion was always something that I thought was part of the whole Epcot experience. When a majority of guests just wanted to do the 3 minute ride and skip everything else, it was a sad reminder that a lot of people just didn't want a multi-tiered experience in a pavilion.
