wheelchairs and rides

Hi All. Long time reader, first time poster.

My wife and I will be headed to the world in about 2.5 weeks. She is currently 22 weeks pregnant...with twins. So she's measuring about 32 weeks now (read: big). We'll be renting a wheelchair from home and bringing it with us so we have it with us at all times. My question is how are wheelchairs handled for rides? Do we need to park it with the strollers and have her walk the line? Or can the CMs move it from the entrance to the exit for us? I'd like minimize her walking as much as possible as that will give us more park time. Sorry if this has been asked already. I searched the forums for an answer and didn't see much. Thanks!

Every ride will be handled differently. Some, you will walk through the line to boarding, and then the CMs will move the wheelchair to the offload. Others, they may bring you in the exit and have you load that way. You would need to talk to the CM at the line entry and find out for that particular ride.

Yeah, every ride is slightly different. I travel with a sibling who uses a wheelchair and we are always brought to a loading area in the wheelchair. Meaning we're not asked to walk to the loading area (not gonna happen in her case). There are even some rides with special modifications so your wife wouldn't even have to get out of the wheelchair. We've always had good experiences with CMs who seem to be well trained. We've never had to ask what to do/where to go. They've always been on top of it.

A most magical welcome. As the others have posted it will depend on the ride but most CMs are on top of it. Congrats on your double blessing!

When we stayed at the WL a few years ago and needed a wheelchair the resort provided it to us at no charge. Have you checked with your resort (if you are staying at one) if they would supply the wheelchair?
