What's your worst transport experience? (Disney or non disney)

I was wondering if any of you out there have had any bad experiences with transport while on your Disney holiday?
My worst experience was just recently when I was in WDW in Dec 2003. And might I add it wasn't anything to do with Disney Transport!!
On the last day of my holiday I had booked a return trip to the Florida Mall with Mears. Their last bus back was 4.45 (which seemed abit annoying as the Mall didnt close until 7pm!) Anyway at 4.40 me and my mum made our way back to the entrance where they had dropped us off. We weren't the only ones waiting for the bus, there was also another mother and her daughter and a family with a young girl. Anyway 10 mins had gone by and the bus still haven't arrived so we just assumed that they were running late. But then 20 mins passed by, then 30 mins. Eventually after 45mins, one of the women waiting with us got fed up and rang Mears. They told her that the bus had come but nobody was there which clearly wasn't true so she told them that we were still waiting so can they send someone soon! Well another 40 mins passed and still there was no sign of the bus. By now, we were all very angry and this time my mum went to phone Mears. This time they told my mum that they had been 3 times and each time there was nobody there! Clearly they were taking the mickey as we had all been there since 4.40pm! So, my mum made her feeling very clear and basically told them that they were taking the mickey and told them to send a bus straight away. Anyway, another 30mins went by and still no bus. By now we had been waiting 2 hours! And we were starting to worry as it was 6.40pm and the Mall closed at 7pm. So my mum called them again and this time they told her that they were having some trouble with their buses and that they had sent us a taxi. Well about 6.50 a taxi came by but he was picking up 2 people for MK but we were all going to hotels (CB, All stars and AKL). Then, mins later, a taxi came asking for 2 people for the CB which was the 2 women waiting with us but didnt mention me and my mum or the other family. Well, then another taxi came along for the family and but me and my still didnt have one! Anyway, eventually a taxi came calling Lawrenson for AKL, which was me and my mum so we went to get in when the original taxi driver came running over shouting. It turns out that he meant AKL not MK and that he was also our taxi driver! So, now we had 2 taxis! At first, we didn't know who to go with but in the end we decided to go with the second driver as he had said our name and cause the first driver wasn't even sure on where he was going! But the first driver wouldnt let us go! He kept tapping the window and shouting saying that we should get out and go with him instead! So, in the end, the second driver stopped and called his main office to see what was going on. Anyway, we heard over his radio that he was our original taxi but he had taken so long to pick us up that they had cancelled him and sent someone else. So when we heard this we got out and went with the other driver. So we got into the other taxi and told him that we wanted to go to AKL and not MK, ok he said! Well, during our journey back to the hotel, I thought he had taken the wrong road and had in fact taken the road for MK instead of AKL but I thought I better not say anything as I wasn't sure and he was the driver after all so surely he knew the area better than me! (or so I thought!) Anyway, a few mins later he said 'your going to Magic Kingdom Lodge yes?' Well me and my mum just looked at him and said 'NO! AKL! There isn't even a place called MKL!!' So it turns out that he still thought that we were going to MK, even though we had told him that we wanted to go to AKL and that he had in fact taken the wrong road! He didn't speak alot of English and clearly had no clue about the area or Disney Property!! Anyway, after we had finally got through to him that we wanted to go to AKL, he wasn't sure how to get there from the road he was on so we had to drive out of Disney and drive back into Disney! Finally he found the right road (or shall I say me and my mum found the right road!) and we made it back to AKL! (after stopping him going down the Disney buses only lane that is!) And only 3 hours late!!
It make me realise just how good Disney transportation really is!!!

Wow, sorry for the bad experience. I have always used the WDW transportation and other than rude passengers I have never had a problem. Lately we have been driving and using our own vehicle to get around WDW. If you stay at a WDW resort the parking is free at the parks and you dont have to wait for the next bus. Since we have small kids and use a stroller it also makes it easier for us to get everything we need to the park.

Our worst experiences have been with rude passengers on WDW transport who do not have any consideration for a family with small children and a stroller.

Luckily the cast members are most helpful and friendly.

We were staying off site at a hotel with complementary transportation to the parks. To make a long story short, they didn't pick us up. Many phone calls, waiting , etc. Eventually, a bus driver from another hotel kindly picked us up at 2:00 AM and took us to our hotel. I notified the hotel manager by letter with details, and they have treated us very nice since, transporting us by limosine.

While I have always liked WDW transportation and never rent a car, we had real problems at OKW in Aug. I will never stay there again with out a car.

One time we were waiting for AK, when we got to the frount bus stop there was a ton of people there, all waiting for the AK bus. It should be any min since the last one was 30 min ago. To make a long story stort we waited another 45 before we got on a bus. (I heard the other busses where full so the just skipped the frount.) Then the driver said he got redirected to the car parking lot since there was an accident at the bus stop. Here we were waiting in the line of cars to park. Secturity had to come and escort us to a place to drop us off. And boy was it far away. That was a bad day.

This isn't too bad, but our 1st day at MK (that same trip) we were so excited to get to MK. The bus driver circled the bus drop off, skipped our stop, took us over to the CON to turn around, then down the wrong way, about 15 min later he finally dropped us off. I was really mad, out little 2 year old was so excited to be there and keep asking why we couldn't get off the bus. I must admit I was a bit impatient myself.

All in the busses at OKW are the worst we have ever tried. The set up is reallly bad so instead of just circling the resort, you go in and out, back and forth and turn around in parking lots. It takes 15 min from the 1st bus stop until you even leave the resort.

No problems at all this last trip at VWL. Oh wait, one time the boat was ready to take us to MK, and the driver broke a window. They bought us a new one and went right to MK instead of going to FW 1st, so I think we even came out ahead.

All in all I really love WDW transportation. I like not having to drive, it really takes the stress level down.
