What's the VYBE with LIBERTY?

Okay, folks. I look on the Times Guide for EPCOT .... NO SCHEDULED PERFORMANCES FOR VOICES OF LIBERTY THIS WEEK.

NADA. ZILCH.

Instead, American Vybe is listed.

Has anyone heard American Vybe? I'll tell you this: they are VERY talented. But I would also like to stress, I find them not nearly as talented as Voices of Liberty. Liberty pushes the audience to tears. . . Vybe is just...fun.

ALSO, Vybe does not fit in the American Adventure! Before the American Adventure show? And the setting they are in? Put them in America Gardens or something, but it angers me to think this group is replacing the Voices of Liberty in such a way. Argh. Let's hope VoL never goes away from EPCOT. Vybe just doesn't cut it.

Now I'll have to plan my EPCOT trips based on this. . . great.

The Voices of Liberty are in rehersal this week and that's why thgey are not doing any performances.

As for American Vybe, I actually saw them for the first time this Summer and I have to say I was VERY impressed with them. They just might be my favorite musical group on property now (it had been Voices of Liberty for a very long time). I love all the swing, jazz, and Big Band they do. It does seem a little odd considering the setting of the very colonial-looking American Adventure. Perhaps they would have fit better at MGM on the New York Street or something. Still, it's nice to have them in the venue they are at because the accoustics are wonderful.

=) I like both groups, and would be thrilled being part of either. If it takes more than one audition, that's cool---Disney holds them every month and I have until May to keep trying. I should be starting with either group sometime in June =)

Heading for the great escape.
I found them much more accessible than Voices of Liberty. But then again you know how we Brits tend to be much more cynical about patriotism. ( but then again I dislike Jazz as much as Woody Allen movies)

The biggest plus was that my kids wanted to listen and watch which was never the case in the past.

The last time I watched Vybe, I struck up a conversation w/ one of the members. He was really friendly and gave me some audition pointers. VoL is friendly too, I used to chat with them backstage before Candlelight back in high school.
