What's the longest you've ever waited for Mickey?

With They-Who-Shan't-Be-Named pulling 5+ hour waits and FP+ blackouts, I can't help but wonder....what is longest you've ever waited to see Mickey?

Zero, Notta, zilch! Not one minute or even one second. I'm a big believer in suspension of disbelief, but a person in a mouse costume will not interest me, ever. Never has and never will until I am senile enough to not realize even where I am, in which case it will no longer matter.:grumpy:

The first day it was reported Mickey was "talking" at Town Square Theater, I went in and waited about an hour and a half to see him. The crowds were insane. Obviously that was more of an exception though :)

The longest I've ever waited to meet a character was 10 minutes for Phineas and Ferb. It was totally worth it, they were goofballs. I'll probably never do it again though, meeting characters is generally too weird for me.

45 min-first family trip to Disney, my mother had never been and Mickey is her absolute favorite. At the time we had no money so we were not sure we would ever be back. I didn't want to wait either (I was 11), my dad made me - we were in animal kingdom in the hottest line ever!

I don't remember how long I've ever waited to see Mickey. I think maybe Sorcerer Mickey at MGM we waited maybe 10-15 minutes? During the Halloween party, we waited probably 20-25 minutes to see Pooh and the gang. That was an exception though as we were all dressed up in costume and it's probably one of my favorite pictures from any Disney trip as all four (Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore) are in it.

And I have been one of the crazies who waited an hour and 15 minutes for A&E at Disneyland back in April. The line didn't look that long as we participated in the ridiculous sprint at park opening (this was before they changed rope drop procedures) I think for any other character the line would have been half hour, maybe but since it was A&E, people were soaking up as much time as they could with them.

Well, on our recent trip last week, we were in EPCOT and went over to the area for Chase Disney Card holders to get their free 5x7 picture. My wife and I have never done character pics. Not our thing, but the family we were with wanted to and if it's free, I'll take it. No one was in line so our wait was 0 and I thought the character would be someone random like Stitch. Nope! To our surprise it was Mickey, Minnie and Goofy! The pic came out great and it was a nice experience.

That is my observation too. As often as not it is not the kid who wants to wait an hour in the blazing sun for a stupid pic with a foamhead, but the parent who just paid his last few pennies for that, for what the commercials said amounts to kid heaven.

Commonly accompanied by near tears from everybody as the exhausted kids are made to stand still in the hot sun like prison inmates while the parents are angry at their ingrates for not being blissfully happy.

That's why we won't go and wait in line for anything if it is over 30 minutes for an interesting ride, and less for a character.
We also decided to use some of our FPs to meet some characters, as we want our little girl to enjoy having her picture taken with some of the ones she enjoys, because after all it's like the cherry on the cake for little ones.
I understand very well people not wanting to do that and keep FPs for something else instead. We decided we just won't go crazy if we can't meet the characters we don't have FPs for. There's a lot more to enjoy in WDW! And, after all, it's a vacation and should be as stress-free as possible (unfortunately, many people tend to forget that).

LOL. I have a thing about my picture being on the internet. A thing as in I never post it....anywhere. I don't do Facebook, Twitter, My Space, or whatever the kids are doing these days.
I guess you can do like I do and only post pictures of myself 30 years after they were taken and then I can live with the fantasy that I still look like that. In the meantime, I would defy anyone to match the current me with the picture. I guess I'll just have to wait 30 years to see it. Let's see... I will only be 96 by then and according to my calendar, I will probably be bungee jumping that day. :joyfull:
