What's the hiring situation at WDW?

I'm feeling the urge to get out of this area and I wouldn't mind moving back to central Florida if I can find a job there. So, what is the hiring situation like at WDW in these rough times? Does a former College Program participant, former Casual Temporary, and current TDS cast member have a chance of landing a job at WDW? I would like to get back into transportation most of all but I'm not too picky as long as it isn't third shift janitorial or something.

And now I gripe...

...whine, etc.

I have been unemployed since August 26th, 2002. I have looked high and low, and all over, for a job. I have had prospect after prospect, but things are still going VERY slowly.

Anyway, that's enough of that.

All I know right now is that the WDW jobline says that they have "an extremely limited number of positions--of any type--open."

My suggestion, wait a few months. Although the economy seems to have stabilized, and Disney's overall attendance has increased (along with park revenues), I would keep whatever job you have now just to be safe.

That's my 2 cents. I don't mean to sound like a grumpy gus, but that's been my experience.

The economy could falter into a recession again real quickly. Oil prices going up could be a key.

A prolonged war/terror threat could seriously start to hamper attendence from foreign countries again.

The most frustraiting thing is seeing all the help wanted signs and then applying to them, but not even getting a call back!

From what I've been told they have just started another hireing freeze.

I actully had a 2 interviews with Disney in the last week and up untill yesterday had a job
