What's the general opinion of World Of Color?

I've seen it once...

Maybe I was tired, maybe my view was poor (which it was)

But I thought it was kinda poor.
I was bored and would rather have been riding TOT again....

It's no fantasmic IMO.

Is it just me?
What am I not getting?

It's not supposed to be Fantasmic. They're two different species.

The view you have really has an effect on your opinion of the show. I thought it was great the first time I saw it from the back of the viewing area. The second time I saw it on the boardwalk I was blown away. If you're off to the right side in yellow or can't see much over everyone's heads, you aren't going to enjoy it as much.

I've seen it over 1,000 times and while I wouldn't come on my day off to watch it, I still think it's a spectacular show. And the fact that it can be updated is wonderful. Keeps the show fresh and new.

We all loved it from front and center. Our one general comment was that there was absolutely no plot. It was a string of images and memorable clips from songs presented in a spectacular way. So if you love Disney music and films and have an emotional connection to the characters I think you will love the show. If you are looking for a story (not an unusual request) you may be disappointed. Just my opinion. We will see it every time we go just like we see Fantasmic. Which HAS a plot......sort of.

World of Color was amazing. It was definitely worth me running all the way from the other park just to get there on time. Everything was so colorful and despite almost being in the back I still got wet from the water spraying. Mouth my dropped open in shock when I thought the show was over, but showed a Tron segment with the roller coaster like up and everything. I think the Tron segment isn't there any more since it was probably ofr advertisement. World of Color is an amazing show that I hope to see again.

I haven't seen it in person (nor will I any time soon unfortunately) but I've seen countless videos taken from a myriad of locations and never once have I ended the show with a dry eye. I think the show is incredible and impressive and truthfully I think Fantasmic! could use a little spruce up to be as impressive. Don't get me wrong... I adore Fantasmic! and am a huge fan (we even do the dinner package when we go) but the technology used at WoC I think could be brought in to make Fantasmic! that much better.

I think the tech and music are gorgeous, but there are too many lengthy sequences of clips taken straight from movies of PIxar characters talking. If I want to watch Buzz and Woody goof around I can pop my dvd in at home. World of Color is hard on the legs and cold and wet if you're in the front. Not time to have a chat, guys. I'd love to see a slightly shorter version of the show with less filler.

I had certainly not seen anything like it but I think had we had a better view we would have enjoyed it more.

Whenever we get around to going back we will be better prepared, the "fastpasses" for WoC are not so much a guaranteed good view, but a guaranteed poor view, might be good view.

Hopefully in time crowds will die down and we will get better at showing up early

I only enjoy seeing it from the front row and swimming in it. From far off, it's kind of boring.

With that said, there are a couple scenes that seem to drag on. I wish they'd cut it down by about 5 minutes.

Just a matter of personal preference. I could fall asleep during Fantasmic, but there's nothing quite so fun and taking a swim in World of Color and going home soaking wet.

I love it, but I'd definitely cut a few things here and there. Runs a bit too long for my liking. Watched it for the first time in months at the Cars/BVS preview and it was dragging on at quite a few points.
