Just checked the crowd calender for the rest of the year. Wow was I surprised how busy it's going to be! Will this deter any of you from going? I almost don't care it's below 0 this fridgid am! Now we know why discounts aren't being posted I never get them anyway as I'm stuck with June due to school and work!

Well it's also freezing here, but getting to crowds at Disney. It never has bothered me,all five trips have been in July, yes it's busy but they way I look at it.Why go to a party and there's hardly anyone there.Ive been asked in the past " what about South American tour groups?" Well if I see them heading to,lets say,Haunted Mansion,I head somewhere else and do that attraction later,no big deal.So come 2014,god willing,it's gonna be a helluva hatter party at WDW.;)

You have to learn to manage the crowds... one year on New Years I remember a 385 min wait for Soarin! We often will do early mornings or late nights and relax at the pool during the peek times. It is possible to have fun with large crowds, you just need to make all reservations early and be FLEXABLE with your plans... :)
By the way where did you get that info I would love to look at it?

^This.
Understand. I HATE crowds. I feel like when I'm at Disney everyone should go home and leave me and my party to have the run of the parks. Since this isn't going to happen we've learned how to manage the crowds. Most of the time we do everything we want and the crowds do not bother us to much.

Where do you find the crowd calander?

It's just a guestimate. The things I consider are if there's any holidays, school breaks, time of the year, etc. How can a preprinted book determine a particular days crowd? It can't. Figure when you want to go then check out all the possibilities that could 'slow' things down, and change it forward or back to make it work best for you.

Yeah, I don't know why I'm even asking... nobody knows for sure, except that you know it's going to be busier on holiday weekends. We always go the same time of year, so we pretty much know what to expect. Last year was busier than previous years, but this year we're going a week earlier, which could make a big difference... not sure which way that might go though LOL

I always go in August and the crowds are exremely manageable despite the crowd calendar saying they'll be unbearable so I just ignore it.

I find the majority of the time, late August is great. I'm Canadian, and we don't go back to school here until the second week of September whereas in the States, most students go back in early to mid August. Last time I went in August (in '11) I walked on to all the major attractions... The longest wait I endured was a whopping 25 mins for Toy Story Mania!

We went in April and it was super crowded. And hot. Went in Sept, and while it was hot, the crowds were AMAZING! Pics of the castle with NOBODY in them at 1-2pm! Loved it!

Next time, I think we're planning a Dec/jan trip to try to avoid the heat.

I am not a party girl, I do NOT like crowds and I'm like the other poster, I feel like people should leave so I can enjoy my day ;) hahaha!!!

Early to mid September are great times to go too. When I was younger without fail we would vacation somewhere between late August and early October to avoid crowds... Stopped doing it when I started high school because my parents didn't want to pull me out of school anymore. Only downer about late Aug is it's hot as heck, but almost having the park to yourself is totally worth it. I'm in the same boat as you, I'm a crowd-hater :p
