Would the Disney College Program be better for a position or would a regular audition be just fine? Do they have a certain preference or no?

What kind of performer do you want to be? There are many College Program folks who are character performers.

Being a face character would be fun, I was thinking more like dance oriented performer perhaps like a dancer in one of the parades or a show

You can do any of those as a CP if you get cast in entertainment.
