Does anyone remember the 2nd part of the Hitchcock attraction? You would go in see how they filmed the shower scene of Pyscho. Does anyone know if that is still in there next to Shrek?
This. Lines for the initial Shrek 4D attraction (which were literally just the converted preshow room, Hitchcock 3D theater, and gift shop) were so enormous that Express was temporarily discontinued for the attraction until the second theater could be opened. It was here that the bulk of the remainder of the attraction (Psycho theater and post-show areas) were dismantled and the second theater/preshow built in its place. Supposedly there's still pockets of space around and above the theaters that store some of the old Hitchcock stuff.
Highly interestingly, for the first year or so of Shrek 4D's operation, it would appear that the rest of the Hithcock attraction remained behind a door or two, mothballed but potentially ready for guest usage.
I wish they would bring back the Hitchcock. it doesn't have to be the whole thing it used to be (they had watered it down toward the end, anyway). But a permanent exhibit with the stuff you would look at toward the end would be great.
Really!? That's incredible. One wonders why they don't just open some of these old interactive areas after a spit and polish and call it a new Hithcock tribute, akin to the Lucy Tribute... would only take a couple people to staff...
