What was going on at 2am in DLR?

We just got back from an amazing DLR/LA vacation and everything was wonderful but one thing sticks out to me. Around 2am Tuesday morning (7/12) I woke up not feeling well and noticed a security guard looking around with his flashlight in DTD. About 30 minutes later we heard dogs barking very loudly. It was a bit spooky. I'm very curious to know what was going on. Has anyone heard of anything strange?

And the dogs were barking because he wasn't looking up when walking and fell down a well. Mystery Solved!!

Obviously they were barking at a Growlithe.

Spooky? Exciting would be my word. I'd be out of the room and downstairs standing next to the guy "So, what are we chasing??"

You will not believe this, but I have heard this before walking around Downtown Disney very early in the morning. The day was 7/02/16. Pretty recent.
