What to do?

I am really confused as to what to book for our Easter 2007 trip. There are three of us, me, dbf, dbf's daughter (15). We arrive @ 11:30 pm on April 4th, and leave in the pm on April 15th. I am trying to figure out if we should book a package or seperately. I am not expecting any discounts for this time where it is a peak season. We will want to park hop and go to DisneyQuest and the water parks. I have quoted a package and room only/tickets on the disney website and there is only a $4 difference between the two.

Now my questions after the long explantion - what would you do? Package or seperately? Or try to find a TA? This will be our only trip in 07, so I'm even more confused if we should get AP's or not!

TIA

I'm assuming that the $4 difference is per person per day (and not the total difference between the two costings total). If it is PPPD then are you getting anything better ? If not go for the cheaper option.

As for an AP - it will only just pay for itself after 10 - 12 days usage. Shop around.

Finally - have you tried Kingdom Konsultants - Pam has helped a lot of people on here with their travel requirements

As you discovered, there's not much of a difference with the package or seperate room & tickets. However there are some things you get with the package. 1 luggage tag per person, 1 round of miniature golf (one person), $15.00 at Planet Hollywood & free 30 minutes with a 60 minute Sea Raycer rental. If you would utilize these benefits, then your savings would be greater with a package.

We booked a package for our spring break trip, but only because we wanted the dining plan, which we will definately save money and eat a sit down dinner every day. My MIL will be with us and she will probably need a rest/break at dinner anyway.

From my own investigation, booking the room & parks separate is more economical. If you check out the Mousesavers website & subscribe to its newsletter, you will receive links where you can find discount park tickets.

However, problem with booking separate is that the dining plan is not available.

If you do end up with a package, make sure you do a "room only" ressie for your 1st night, then a seperate ressie for your package day 2 though the end of your stay. Depending on what time your leaving the last day you may want to do a room only ressie the night before you leave too. As others have said, try AAA, I saved almost $1000 on my upcoming April trip by booking through them. Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure we have always just booked a package on our trips (mostly because it is just easy to do it that way). What is the advantage to booking room only for the first and last night?
