I already have a solo trip planned to go to WDW between August 2 and 5th. My boyfriend (who works and couldn't get the time off to go with me.) has wondered if we should make a weekend trip out of California Adventure and DL immediately after I return from WDW. (He and I both live 1/2 hour from DL.) The idea sounded appealing, and so being the natural travel agent that I am, I've decided to do my homework and figure out how to make this trip a reality.
The dates that we had in mind were August 5th-8th.
We'd like to stay at an area hotel/motel and get Park Hopper tickets for three days.
I've been to DL so many times that it is ridiculous, but I have never had the opportunity to go to California Adventure. (neither has he.)
Can you suggest how to go about this? ( The Disney Hotels are out of the question after my dropping a little over a grand on my trip to WDW. Too expensive.) We were looking at clean but comfortable (and inexpensive.) accomodations near the park (within 6 blocks.) but have no idea what they are like. Perhaps someone (or some people) can clue us into the good bad and the ugly of Anaheim area hotels and motels.
