I have just reserved 1 day at the new Art of Animations Resort for March spring break, most of the week will be cruising from port canaveral on carnival. At the most I will be spending 2 days at WDW.

My question is on March 14th MK open 1 hour early, what rides and in what order will I get the best use of that time? Keep in mind to limit cross park walking, slow loaders, and rides that will have short waits normally. Its my wife, 12 yo daughter, and me. Thanks!

Only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open during early hours so it will basically be a straight shot.
As another poster advised, I would head straight to Space Mountain. We then do Peter Pan and Pooh. Philarmagic, Small World, Tea Cups, the Carosel, Carosel of Progress and Peoplemover should be fairly easy to get on after early hours. We like The Laugh Floor later in the evening. After Space Mountain, PP and Pooh, I would head straight for the new section of Fantasyland if anything in there interests you. Otherwise, it should be regular hours by now and I would go get a fastpass to either Big Thunder or Splash and do standby for the other one if it isn't really crowded. Then I would do the Haunted Mansion and Pirates and it should be time to use your fastpass for Splash or Big Thunder, if you have one. Then I would go and get a fastpass for Jungle Cruise. You could go to Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and grab a snack while you wait for your Jungle Cruise fp time.
Big Thunder almost never runs out of fastpasses, unless it's a peak day. So if you need to save something for later, that's one you could probably save for evening. If you use the fastpass system well, you should be able to do the big rides more than once in a day, even if it's crowded unless it's a peak crowd which the 14th may be.
