Kmart Holding Corp. has appointed a new chief executive and president.
Aylwin Lewis, (pictured, left) formerly of Yum Brands Inc., will take over for Julian Day. Day was appointed in January 2003, when the company was in bankruptcy.
Lewis is a 13-year veteran of Yum, whose brands include Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell. Before KFC, Lewis had experience with Jack in the Box, and with PepsiCo. In 2001, Lewis was elected a member of the board of directors of Halliburton Co. Lewis is also a member of the Walt Disney Company's board of directors.

I'm sure this guy provides a lot of strategic input to Disney's board on how to keep Walt’s vision alive.
- Maybe out-sourcing the vast majority of Disney-related merchandise to foreign countries (wait a minute, Disney already does that),
- Rather then designing industry-leading attractions use cheaper carnival type rides (wait a minute, they already do that too)
- Reduce monies spent on infrastructure (upkeep and upgrades) to recognize short-term quarterly gains (by golly, Disney does that as well)
Maybe this guy has provided a lot of "valuable" strategic input.
