A friend of my family wants to take his family to Disney World for the very 1st time, but said they don't want to stay on Disney property. So what are some good off site which have a fair price? I have suggested any of the Hampton Inn's around the Orlando area, along with Radisson but I was wondering what other hotels should I suggest that they look into?

We are staying in a rental home for a week, 7 nights, in October for approx. $800.00. This home has it's own pool table that is inside the house instead of the garage and its own swimming pool. It's maybe 10 minutes from Disney off of 192, about a block from a grocery store, resteraunts, etc. The people that own it are local USA residents which is hard to find since most are UK owned, at least that I've come across. For the money and the perks, I'd recommend the home instead of a hotel. The kids would love the games room and the swimming pool. JMHO though!

We are staying at Windsor hills its a brand new development 2mi. from disney. for 9 nite in a townhouse w/splash pool its $990 that includes 3bdrs. kitchen and the little private patio w/the splash pool, plus use of their facilities huge brand new play ground arcade, double olympic pool w/water slides just too much stuff to list. There are plenty of virtual tours and websites with photos pm me if you want me to send you some info. if your friend does a search on travelocity he will see that there's alot of talk about it. I had a few estimates from other owners $850-900 for the same townhouse but this guy has baby items (which I need) and is also giving me free pool heat! He even offered to buy me a stroller! He is from the uk but the booking process was very easy and most of them seem to have management companies that you could contact.
sorry for the long post, but Im really excited about windsor hills:sohappy:

I've stayed (and will be again in May) at the Masters Inn on I-Drive. It's not expensive (I'm paying $45 per night) and I got two beds, mini-fridge and microwave. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was good. The front desk staff was nice and I didn't get any beef when I had to check out a day early (courtesy of Hurricane Dennis racing to cross our path home). The pool is decent enough, nothing grand or fancy. If your friends are simply looking for a place to sleep and shower and they hit the parks during the day, it's great. They also have a free shuttle to Disney, which is probably about 10 miles away. Universal and Seaworld are much closer and there are restaurants everywhere (of course! It's I-Drive.)
