What might Pirates get nominated for?

Since the Acadamy Awards are coming up, what do you think POTC might get nominated for? I think Johnny Depp might be nominated for best actor, and this movie will definately be nominated for best visual effects. Geoffry Rush might even be nominated for best supporting actor. What are your thoughts and opinions?

I second the possibility that Johnny Depp may be considered for a best actor nomination as well as best visual effects (although probably won't win). I could also see the possibility of best costume design or set design (there is something like this).

However, I think HM has a great shot of actually winning either best costume or set design. The set and costumes look nothing short of spectacular for it.

I agree. I believe POTC will be nominated for best SFX, but it will have some tough competition with LOTR, and Matrix Reloaded. You're probably right about HM also. Lets keep our fingers crossed!:sohappy:

As much as I like the score, I don't think it will be nominated and if it is, has no chance of winning.

It's too repetitive with nothing that really stands out.

Special effects, yeah... Also set ambientation, decoration or whatever that is called! I can´t remember it now! :brick:
