What is your favorite Walt Disney special effect??

~I like the fiber optic fireworks on the ceiling inside the Mexico ride.
~The effect of how the bugs are running underneath you in, Its Tough To Be A Bug 3-D movie is kinda cool.

This may not be magical enough, but since I am a Disney monorail buff I love the strobe lights to the foward and aft of the trains......I mean the loop is a mile long and in one view you can spot all the trains...even through the windows of the Contemporary!!!!

Geez. Like you said there are so many. The haunted Mansion is an obvious answer. All of those effects in there are soooo cool. If anyone wants to know exactly how all of them work you can go to www.doombuggies.com. That is the sweetest HM site on the net. Tells everything you'd want to know about the HM and is beautifully designed.

My other one I can think of off the top of my head is the fiberoptics in the ground outside of Innoventions in Futureworld
A lot of cool designs down there. Those have gotta be complex to set up!

I'd have to say that my favorite effect is the ghosts disappearing on Tower of Terror, well not just that, basically that whole first stop on that ride is amazing.

Ok, Myfavorite effect of course is the ballroom scene in Haunted Mansion...it has always been, even as a kid! I ad the Haunted Mansion game and everything....
BUT I have to say that the Rose in the Bell Jar in the Beast's Library at DCA is AWESOME! The whole library is my favorite place there...

Ok I would Have to agree with Tiggrl about the rose.
But I would have to say Without a Doubt
the Way Walts Magic affects Me on the Trains.:slurp:

Obviously these aren't the most complicated effects, but these are a few that I love just because they're so memorably to me:

-My favorite is those flickering mouse tails in Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. They get me every time (and nearly gave my poor mother a heart attack!)

-The fiber optics at the end of Spaceship Earth.

-The Haunted Mansion mirrors that put ghosts in the doom-buggy.

My favorite effect (even though it may not be to special) is the way the new Magical Moments pins react to certain points of rides, shows, and locations. Really special and the patters they make are very cool!!

There may not be Fire Flies at you`re park.
But here in Calif We have them at the beginning of the ride

The fireflies can be seen as the boats go through the bayou at DisneyLand Park.
