What is your favorite restaurant for "Italian" Cuisine?

Being Italian as I am, I just have to have my share of good Italian food when visiting Disney. Pasta is my food of choice, so when chipping in with some advise keep that in mind although I would never turn down a good Pizza. Sometimes it doesn't even have to be an "Italian" restaurant per se to have good pasta. One example is a dish I had once at Planet Hollywood. It was a California Lasagna dish. It was HUGE and sooo tasty. Anyway where would you suggest I go for a great dish of pasta and why.

We tried Tutto Italia on our last trip, we had the lasagna and it was cold and tasteless... We will try Via Napoli on our next trip, I read on this forum that they have the best pizza inside WDW.:hungry:

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
I'm part Italian myself and DH and I love Via Napoli for pizza, and Mama Melrose for pasta dishes. We always go to both each trip and love it!! :)

I am not Italian (but I do wish I were) and I have dated many Italians, and boy do I miss their cooking! I have nothing to offer here, but I am so excited to see what people have to say about this topic! I hear time and time again about how good the pizza is at Via Napoli, but I'd love to hear what real Italians think about the other Italian food offered at WDW!

My favorite place for Italian in WDW is Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar! Their Insalata di Mare and the Asparaghi Bianchi are both amazing :hungry: and the wine selection pretty awesome as well!

For my next trip I am hoping to try La Luce at the Hilton Bonnet Creek. I guess its a modern take on country Italian food with a fusion of California wine country and its owned by the late Chef Donna Scala's family.

For years I swore off of Italian food at Disney World, after several not-so-good experiences, but finally gave in this past Fall, and tried Via Napoli and absolutely LOVED it! I have a pot of gravy on the stove once a week here, and being from New Jersey, have had the best of the best when it came to pizza. Via Napoli blew us away, it was THAT good!

Via Napoli followed by Mama Melrose.
About the best you can find on property. Everywhere else that serves an "italian" dish fails.

^^^ ditto on the first paragraph down to the Insalata di Mare - my fav.

Via Napoli for pizza.

...we are headed to Orlando on a family matter this summer (no WDW) and La Luce sounds like a great place for us to try!

There are so many other restaurants around the World we never hear about or really talk about her on WDWMagic. I think I will have to start a thread to shine some light on these great finds.
