Apart from the attractions, parades, fireworks, and restaurants, my favorite thing at WDW is the Dapper Dans. I was wondering what some of your favorite "others" are. Maybe a particular food or maybe a specific site? I bet there are some interesting answers out there.

Meeting the characters is one of my favorite "others" activities. I enjoy takinging pictures of my favorites and finding ones that I've never seen before. You're never too old for the characters, after all.

Well, I was going to mention a few restaurants but then re-read your post.

I would have to say the background music, Adventureland in particular.

Picking out my next watch.

Seeing all the excited kids.

First of all....great idea for a post!!!

Well here are some of my favorites....

---Music in the parks (you know, that backround ambience coming from the trees!!)
---Epcot Fountain (I could watch it for days)
---The friendly cast members (nothing makes you feel better)
----Just the smell of the parks...I know it sounds weird but it even SMELLS magical!
----Racing a monorail in your car
----The fantastic landscaping not found anywhere else in the world!!
---Those light up tiles at Innoventions
---Future world at night...in peaceful quiet with that fantastic music in the background and the gorgeous lights everywhere. Cool night breezes!
---Walking through the mist of Ice Station Cool
---Those minifountains everywhere in Disneyworld
---The lasers in Illuminations
---The anticipation of arriving at your hotel when you first arrive

Thats all that i can think of now...but I'm sure I'll be back!:) :) :)

Alright. A little thread drift here... but I am going to solve this once and for all... In the original post.. Pixie Tinkerbell says A villian cannot be the symbol of all that is happy and magical at WDW; therefore, Tinkerbell is NOT a villian! .
Well... Im here to say that tink is a villain... Not only is she featured in the MGM store Villains in Vogue, but also (as seen in both Peter Pan and Return To Neverland) an attempted murderer, absolutely not my idea of Disney World!

:D :D :D

-Reactions on people's faces when they taste Beverly at Ice Station Cool
-The swimming pool at Coronado Springs (absolutely the best pool on property in my opinion)
-The music at Animal Kingdom
-Canoeing at Fort Wilderness
-The geyser at Wilderness Lodge
-Swamp trail at Fort Wilderness (a really nice and serene escape after a couple days at the parks)
-Sitting at the bus stop at night at Caribbean Beach and hearing the crickets
-Wine tasting at the Germany pavilion
-Chocolate chip cookies at Innovations (do they still do that?)

First post! :) I love this thread...it makes me remember all the awesome details at WDW. Here are mine:

- riding the monorail from the TTC to Epcot at night and seeing all the lights
- seeing Cinderella's castle from the end of Main Street
- hearing the music EVERYWHERE--it makes me want to sing along
- seeing the signs on the roads that lead to the parks...I get goosebumps of excitement

I know there must be more, but it's getting late and I'm sleepy...thanks for giving me something fun to think about!

For me...

-Shopping, shopping and more shopping! lol
-Riding the monorail
-One of my newest favorites is the pre-opening show in Magic Kindgom.
-I used to love the "I love Lucy" museum in MGM..I am sad it's gone now.
-Seeing Mickey Mouse!
-The Beatles impersonators in Epcot.
-The smell and the feeling I get when I first walk in to check into any WDW resort.
-Watching the WDW resort TV, over, over, over and over again!
-The NY scenes in MGM. They strike me as so real....lol I stand there and read everything I see in the windows. Oh and hearing the sounds of NY they have playing there (car sounds, buses moving, whistles)

These are some that come to mind. :)

I LOVE this post as well!!!!!! :sohappy: yay!!

One of my all time favorite "other" thing to do is walk around my resort at 2 or 3 AM in the morning without a single care of worry in the world...thats the most magical experience for me, not to worry about anything for once! even though it is only for that week, just for that short amount of time, life is perfect!

I also enjoy "Jacuzzi Karaoke" ...this usually happens when there is a rowdy group pf people in the hot tub super late at night, and we sing...for hours. I have started this trend almost every trip here!

We also do "bus ride karaoke" if there aren't many people on the bus, and the driver is cool...I have this on video many times singing "its a small world" "hakuna Matata" and "the lion sleeps tonight" ...thats what Disney is about, people doing random things they normally wouldn't do in their real life...its kinda fun:lol: :animwink:

Isn't that at Universal? I remember an "I Love Lucy" scene that you could act out at the old Superstar Television, but I don't remember an "I Love Lucy" museum at MGM.

I love the Dapper Dans also. They are awesome. I love Off Kilter! (Mark is my fave Off Kilter member). Voices of Liberty and American Vybe.

Alright... My favorite thing is kind of a cop-out, but its absolutely true.. Read my signature.. The thing I most like about Disney World is the palatable feeling of wonder and magic which pervades the place. I fully believe that I have an internal battery that runs on wonder and magic, and needs to be recharged periodically.
But look... Any child keeps their imagination, and every adult who feels it turns into a child again. That's why I choose to go back to Disney time and time again...
That and the beautiful women.
