What is your Disney vice? Will you give it up for Lent?

First of all, I'm not Catholic, but I do like to follow tradition and give up something for Lent. I have plenty of vices to choose from. Recently, I have developed the habit of reading these forums several times a day. My wife suggested I give it up for Lent. I think I'd rather give up fast food or cursing or something. What do you think?

Hmmm....you might be on to something here Op...

I'm not Catholic, but I also try to give something up for Lent. I've never thought about giving up something Disney-related, but that actually might be the best thing for me because it is definitely my largest obsession. I can't give up all-things Disney because I need to pay for my trip, but I will need to think about what would be appropriate...:cautious:

Weather_Lady, I too am Baptist and am glad to see that some one else here that I can relate too. Besides all the giving up, next in line is pot luck dinners. So I feel doubly challenged by this. I give everything up all the time and then turn around and have to make dinner to boot (LOL).

I'm an Anglican and observe Lent. First, nope, I won't give up WDW for Lent. I'm going April 5-9 with the folks to Epcot and AK. However, I'm thinking of giving up desserts for Lent. Even if I'm very good I can still partake on Sundays because those are considered "feast days." We have ADRs in CG. Might as well live it up, including desserts.

Well, have you ever thought of giving up Lent for Lent. This way you do not have to miss anything and you gave something up in the process.

That's what Uni does with their Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) weekends throughout Lent and past Easter. They are neither on Tuesday nor the final blowout before Lent, which is missing the point. I'm a stickler for those kind of things. Wouldn't mind going tomorrow, the real Mardi Gras, though.
