It's not legal to discriminate against senior citizens. There may be certain jobs most of them are unable to do. But they are as qualified as anyone to do many of the jobs.

One of my favorite CMs I've ever met was named Mac and he was a guide on the Great Movie Ride. He had to be somewhere in his 70s but he was absolutely the most enthusiastic performer I've ever seen on the Great Movie Ride and you could tell that he truly loved what he was doing. His passion for movies was infectious.

The youngest you can be is 15 (As long as you have a Family Member who is employed by the company) and as for how old you can be, there's no age limit. As long as she knows what she can and can't handle (Extreme Heat, Lifting Heavy Packages, etc.) she'll be just fine :)

Tell her to go for it! That's, seriously, the worst that could happen...and that's not terribly bad. I mean, she's a grandmother, and I'm sure she's had her fair share of trials and humiliating situations...getting laughed at over the phone should be nothing ;) Besides...it's like other people have said on here, it's illegal to discriminate because of a person's age. She'll be fine :)

I was hired to work with characters at age 50. And I don't mean wearing the yellow shirts and do the crowd control. Tell your Grandma to go make magic.

You must be 15 to work at WDW, if your parent/guardian has a job there. Otherwise, you need to be 16. Certain positions require you to be 18 or older.

Wow! That's awesome! Where do you work? I'd love to meet this woman! I tend to gravitate toward adorable, elderly women. I have a friend who took some college courses with me that about 83/84...and I met a lady working in Gatlinburg, TN about a week ago that was 87....they have some of the most interesting stories and insights you'd ever hear!

There are several old guys working in Monorails. Popular job for pension collectors. They tend to gravitate to the slower stations where they can interact more with the guests. Poly, Grand Flo, Epcot, etc. While the youngins tend to enjoy running around Kingdom Express at night, yelling and packing in people.

Something for everyone.
