What is the latest you can revise your reservation...

Good Morning All! My DW and I are debating about switching from Pop to a AoA suite. It is a nice little chunk of change and may not know if we can do this until we are roughly 5 days away from arriving. If there is availability would Disney allow up to switch on such short notice?

Disney will allow modifications right up until the point where you leave. Now obviously there may be some modification fees involved, and you will need to pay the difference, but you should be able to make changes as long as there is availability.

This is one for Master Yoda - It may depend on how you booked - package or room only? It's my understanding that you can't back out or make changes to a package after 45 days out without penalty. My guess is if you booked a package then it won't be possible. If room only, then maybe, but my guess is there won't be availability at AoA...

We've never had a problem making changes, even as we were checking in...the day before our official check-in...we were running from the snow in GA and didn't want to get 'snowed in', so we left a day early...school was going to be closed anyway.

A room only can be changed or outright canceled as close as 5 days without any problem, fees etc. A package (room + tickets and/or dining) has a 45 day cancellation policy. Inside of that 45 days you are subject to cancellation and/or change fees. However, Disney is very willing to wave all of those fees if you are upgrading your reservation.

Your biggest issue will be availability and promotions. AoA is very popular and there simply might not be room at the inn for you. AoA was also blacked out of many promotions. If you are currently booked with a promotion you might loose it in the switch.

I book room-only. No fees to change. That's all I know.

WOW! I'm impressed with the response. You covered everything! Im going to give it a shot and see if I can get an AoA room. We are going April 20th so its going to be right after the spring break rush, so I hoping, with fingers double crossed that it wont be as busy.
