I am a sucker for the train. I love it. I could sit on the train at Magic Kingdom for about an hour, no problem, just soaking things up. Anyway, which one is your favorite? If I missed an obvious one then so be it. Not sure if I did though.

Dollywood's goes into the woods and is a 5 mile round trip. I know Disneyland's is a bit longer than MK's. I've been on both.

I always liked the one at Knoebels that took you by the waterslides amd through the woods. Because they put out feeders, you often saw real wildlife...although it was mostly squirrels.

Dollywood's used to include a "train robbery" show. Sadly, that is no more.
Stone Mountain (Georgia) has a five mile train ride around the mountain. It's a nice ride. It also used to have a show... A nice feature of the Stone Mountain train ride is the decor brought out at Christmas. I actually prefer the Stone Mountain train ride to the one at Dollywood. Much more scenery of the park and the carving. I voted Other as I would pick the Stone Mountain train over the others. But, I've only experienced DL, MK, DollyWood and Stone Mountain.

I had to look up Stone Mountain. But wowzers! Yeah, looks like a heck of a train ride.

Dollywood has historic hand-fired, coal burning steam locomotives working up 3.5% grades. It doesn’t get any better than that from a railfan perspective!

Silver Dollar City also has a nice train ride and honorable mention to Knott’s Berry farm who has incredibly great historic equipment. But the ride at Knott’s is pretty boring.

I found it lacking last year when I went. Nice ride around the mountain with hill on one side and forest on the other but other than people hiking the woods not much to see.

Cedar Point is a great one mainly for the boneville animatronic show in the second half of the ride.
I have my first trip there next month, I'll be sure to ride it!

Knott's includes a train robbery at some point which is pretty cool.
Disneyland's train route is gorgeous, even more so after the updates that took place to fit SWGE. There truly is something magical to look at the whole train ride now instead of backstage or dead-space.

Six Flags Over Texas has an ok train. Based on "time spent on train" that one wins for me.

When the kids were little, it was nice to take a break and ride it around the park 3-4 times. The winter sing-a-longs were fun.

Now that my kids are all grown up, they (the train rides) are all kinda melancholy experiences.

The Grand Canyon Railway has a really neat daylong train experience which includes a "robbery".

The robbers were so old, they had to stop the train for them to board. No jumping from horses for these grandpas! :p

Disneyland's is way better than MK's since you can actually see things outside of trees.

Busch Garden Tampa's also has a better railroad as it goes through the safari.

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
2 hours is still better than waiting for the MK train for 3+ years... ;)
I choose the alternative...

Silver Dollar City still has a train ride that includes a robbery. During Christmastime, the robbery is replaced by a telling of the Christmas story.
