What is the 999 Happy Haunts Ball?

I know the event is sold out, but I was wondering what it was exactly? (October 30th)

Price? when it went on sale? how many people?

A woman where I work is a hardcore Disney collector. She was able to get into the ball. I think she said only 1000 people were "invited" to go. It appears to be a party where they sell collectables. She let me take a look at what was being offered. Some of the stuff was cool. There was a sculpture of Mickey and I think Goofy in a Doom buggy. That was sweet. I photocopied some of the stuff if I can find it I'll scan it and post it. Most of it was high dollar stuff though. It is being held Oct. 30

Cool, thanks for the pics. I had tried to get into the dinner on the 17th of Sept but missed it. This one seems pricey and then you get to buy pricey merchandise

I don't know if you had to pay anything to get in. I do know it wasn't very publicized. I hadn't heard of it before she told me. She had to fax some sort of form to Disney and there was a time window to do it in and Disney picked the first 1000.
She also got into some JII pin trading thing the same way. Lucky woman. or persistant
