What Is It About Disney Movies?

I'm from the E-ticket generation. Now I have children and the Disney Channel. But there isn't a single Disney movie I can sit through without welling up at some point. From Bambies mom, to the kids from Space Mountain. Herbie to Hakuna Matada. Its just guaranteed that at some point between the Stitch and Motocrossed I'm gonna need a tissue...Am I alone or should I call the doc...darn, its happening again just from proof reading...

Ok, Ok, I remember back in the day when it was a big thing that Bambi had been re-released. With the advent of DVDs and personal videos it seems Disney is going away from re-releasing the classics and headed towards half backed sequels to classics that should never have even entered into someone head, let alone made it to theaters/video. My favorite Disney Movie is Jungle Book (Surprised eh?) I will probably see the Jungle Book II, just like I might look at the grusome accident off to the side of the road, I don't want to, but it will probably happen anyway. At least the have John Goodman as Baloo. Why?

Perhaps you now realise the implications of death on the young and the protective instincts adults have towards their children.
Or perhaps you're just a big softie  :p

You are SO not alone! I simply can't watch the part of Lilo & Stitch where Stitch says "This is my family. I found it myself. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yep, still good." without crying like a little girl. I think that while Disney certainly takes into account the fact that their movies are "for kids" they still make sure that there is an emotional maturity to them that adults make an investment in as well. That's why the Disney movies are for the most part so much better than the other "Kids movies" out there.

Disney Movies..........

Does anyone agree that Disney movies have goen downhill the past few years. I mena what happened to the characters singing those Grammy-Award winning songs???? I mean i liked Lilo and Stitch but i just feel that nothing can compare to the G rated movies of the 90's. Anyone agree???
