What is a VIP ticket?

A friend of mine's son just went to WDW with his dad. The dad's sister is a CM and was apparently able to get them free "VIP" tickets. My friend said the tickets allowed them to ride the rides with characters before the park opened, skip all the lines, and eat for free.

I've never heard of anything like that! What are these tickets and how do you get them?

Never heard of such a thing. Did they have any pictures to prove they did these things? Perhaps they were pulling your leg?

Celebrities get escorted to bypass lines, but that's mainly for Disney's benefit to avoid jamming up lines with gawkers and signature hounds. I doubt that a CM would have access to 'free' tickets that had that level of treatment unless the Dad's CM sister is a WDC VP.

Well I know my friend wouldn't pull my leg...her and the dad are divorced. Maybe the dad was exaggerating?

Maybe what he really has is a MYW ticket with dining? The park opening early for them = extra magic hours....the "free" food = dining plan...the line skipping = fastpass?

That sounds like the most logical conclusion.

There is no such thing. Sorry, but someone wasn't being completely honest...

Maybe, but that doesn't explain riding with the characters. Maybe that just happened by random chance. I've been on rides when the characters were on at the same time.
