if a dreamer could dream...if the notion of a tron ride ever really happened, this is what I would love it to be like. comments and your own versions please!
the ride itself would be on the grid, where flowing lights and clear interface screens fill the line until you get into your light cycle vehicle (2 to a row). as you proceed into darkness, flynn's voice states loudly " then i got in", and zoom, you are off (aerosmith style)! track lights, blue/gren on one side and red/orange on the other appear, then suddenly the ride vehicle slows then splits down the middle, matching the color of the lights on your side, within the theme you learn you are all users and pitting to fight against one another to the amusement of the grid and its leader, clu. the ride picks up steam again, and enters a series of loops and tight turns, then mimics the movie where there are several levels of clear track to run along. finally, in the final act the vehicles slow again as we see the large light car break through the grid to lead us all to safety (the flynn cameo happens here, probably in 3d, as he sits int he passenger seat of the car) suddenly we connect with the other half of the vehicle, sporting white lights, as we race towards the portal. giving chase are the red light planes shooting ever so closely to our rig, shaking us almost off the tracks. one last burst of speed paired by the sacrafice of flynn's escape, we punch through, and end up in the middle of encoms labs.
