What happens to Water Park CMs when bad weather closes the park?

With the news that Blizzard Beach was closed this last weekend due to cold weather, we were wondering what happens to the employees that were supposed to work that day? Do they get moved to the other water park (wouldn't have been possible this time as Typhoon Lagoon is closed for refurbishment), moved to the theme parks or hotels, or do they just have the day off?

If they have the day off, do they get paid?

And are Water Park employees only on 9-month contracts as each park is closed for 3-months of the year?

Many moons ago I was a lifeguard at a Six Flags water park. If we got sent home for any reason, we just clocked out and weren't paid for the remainder of that day. I would guess it's similar for Disney water park CMs, but I am really not sure.

Almost everyone working at the parks is an hourly front line CM, so their hours are subject to change at a moment's notice. They are probably told that they won't be needed and are just not paid for the day. Any full time CM's probably report for work in some capacity and since they are salaried would likely be paid.

Sometimes water park lifeguards are also used to fill in for lifeguards at the resort pools.

Some CMs are College Program CMs, and are guaranteed a minimum number of hours per week. In those instances they must get re-assigned rather than just sent home. Same thing goes with full-time non-salaried CMs.
