What happened to the screamer fireworks?

I think I remember hearing that they aren't super environmentally friendly (don't know how or why) and that was one of reasons they were discontinued? After hearing IllumiNations multiple times a week for years it was a while to get used to the show without them.

I remember hearing them at Orange lake resort breaking the silence of the night. It was so cool but master opus sounding off in the distance.
