What happened to the LOW Button Protest?

After that amazing campaign on here to get people to wear buttons protesting the removal of the Lights of Winter, I literally did not see one button while walking through the parks during the holidays. Did I miss something?

Maybe the button idea was replaced with large signs?

Also, does anybody know if they check for head lice at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique? Those things are running wild on me.
