What floor at Contemporary?

We are closing in on our window to make a specific room/floor request at the Contemporary. We have never stayed at this particular resort before, so we're flying blind. We will be in the main building with a theme park view. Is there a specific floor to request to maximize our views? Or to minimize the amount of noise from the monorail/Chef Mickey's we may hear? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe the twelve and fourteenth floors are suites/Club level but I say the higher better, we were on the ninth floor bay lake side view few years ago and enjoyed it very much and yes I would ask for something on the end away from Chef Mickey’s.

Been in CR several times with theme park view in tower. We have been right above monorail and chef mickey's on one side as well as on 8th floor at other side of elevator stack (central to tower). Neither was noisy when we were in room, although we left early and got back late. We have been told to avoid being on either end as the end wall can impact your view, but we have no first hand experience with this. Odd # rooms have bed on wall opposite MK so you get Castle view from bed. We watched Wishes from our balcony, audio over TV. Pools were fun too. Have a great time.

Ask for an odd number room as high up as you can. The odd number room would be the most important of the 2, but try to avoid the lowest level (I think it is level 4) as this is right above the monorail track.

You can make requests as soon as you have a reservation. If you already have one, call the reservation center and add them to your reservation. Do not rely on online check in for room requests.

Just got back last night. We paid for lake view and asked for an upgrade at check in for my DD7's birthday. They had a room and gave us an odd number room on the 6th floor- second room from the end closest to the park. The monorail literally ran right under our room and you had to really listen for it to notice. The view was awesome and I could see the castle from my bed. Higher floor might have been better, but we were absolutely thrilled with the room!

This just made me so excited for our trip! We're staying at the tower with the Bay Lake View but I'm hoping we get upgraded! I love this resort!

We LOVED the Bay Lake View. IMHO, you are NOT missing much by not facing the MK. You will get the calm of the lake (and see the water pageant and boats, people swimming, etc) facing the lake. The sunrise is breathtaking. For us, Bay Lake view is a second vacation. Plus, you can walk down to the 'fire escape' doors and watch Wishes from the end. It's you're own private showing in your pi's. Okay, you're own room for this would be neat, but it was cool to be out there watching them and hearing the music. BY THE WAY, even though it is a fire escape the doors are always unlocked. Believe me, up and down the floors people will be out there.

Don't miss the sunrise....I have some beautiful pictures of it. Oh, and you can see Spaceship Earth from Bay Lake view.
