I'm going to Disneyland next week for the first time in about 10 years and so excited! We bought 3-day tickets and will be in Anaheim Sunday-Wednesday (so visiting the park 3 out of 4 days). I made park reservations for this Sunday based on crowd calendars and reports that Sundays are typically less crowded than Mondays. While navigating the Disneyland app, I was looking at the pass holder calendar last week and noticed Sunday was "unavailable" then a few days later is was available, today it's "unavailable" again, and now Monday is "unavailable" too. My question is should I expect the crowds to be worse on Sunday than on Monday? I'm considering changing my reservation day to Monday but not sure it's worth it, as maybe both days will be equally busy. Any advice is appreciated! :)

The reason for the "Unavailable/Available/Unavailable" is that reservations are being cancel by one Key holder and then picked up by another Key holder when they see its available. Disney also recently started releasing more reservations to Key holders last minute to fill out park levels.

As for whether Sunday will be busier, remember that Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday are Oogie Boogie Bash nights this year. So expect it to be busy.

In our experience over the last couple years there’s no rhyme or reason to “slow” days anymore, I’d check the park hours, entertainment schedule, etc and pick your days based on that.

One big advantage to keeping Sunday is it’s likely your only day to see (weather permitting) Halloween fireworks, weekdays are usually just projections, that would be a huge factor in our decision. The big downside to keeping Sunday is DCA will close early for the party so everyone will flock to DL for the evening.

I’m a fireworks junky so personally I’d keep Sunday and pray for no wind.
