What does parking cost?

We are thinking about staying a few miles away and driving every day. Can someone tell me what parking costs? And also, is there a big reason why this might be a bad idea, other than just the convenience of walking to the park?

It's $8 a day. You can drive between parks on the day on the same ticket.

If you have an annual pass, it is free.

Not sure why it could be looked upon as a bad idea.

Haha seriously. Someone really has to explain why they keep upping the prices of parking....as if $8 isn't enough...
