What Do You Think?

So Splash Mountain is down for a refurb until 3/19/13. Our trip is until 3/16/13. What do you think of Disney doing a soft opening before the actual opening date? It would be great if it was open before we leave but if not we have something to look forward to in December.

It's more common for a brand new ride to get a soft open, but there's no reason they wouldn't open it up if the refurb is done ahead of schedule. That being said, the odds are probably not in your favor..

most refurbs take longer than anticipated ,once the start working they usually find something else that needs fixing.which generally extends the opening to a later date.but on the bright side you have december to look forward to.have a magical trip anyway.

Unless an existing attractions get a redo such as O' Canada!, there is no soft openings for attractions down for Maintenance. I mentioned a redo of an existing attraction getting a soft opening because I was at the soft opening of O'Canada in 2007. What happened at O' Canada! was the attraction get a new film when the soft opening happened.

Splash Mountain isn't get anything new and I don't expect a soft opening as a result. The opening date could even be pushed back depending on what they find.
