Inspired you or is your favorite? Why?

Mine would have to be Tapestry of Nations and Dreams. Although I never got to see the parades, i watched videos of them and listen to the music. The music is just so beautiful and the first time I saw a video I was completly amazed. So that would have to be my favorite.

"I Wan'na Be Like You" got me hooked on jazz. I loved that song so much that I started exploring other Louis Prima music.

After buying several Prima CDs -- and lovin' every one of them -- I looked for other jazz artists who had the same sense of fun: Cab Calloway, Louis Jordan, Count Basie, Louis Armstrong and the Rat Pack.

I heard Ella Fitzgerald sing a duet with Louis Jordan and fell in love with her voice (who wouldn't?). I really got into Ella big time. I could listen to her sing "It's a Small World" and never get tired of it.

Other favorite jazz artists include Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Charles Mingus, Slim Gaillard and The Cats and the Fiddle. I'm also into latin jazz, like Tito Puente, Desi Arnaz and the Buena Vista Social Club. Lucky for me, there's lots of great live jazz here in Chicago.

So, for me, the love of jazz all started with an orangutan.

"When You Wish Upon a Star" is, of course, my song.
When I hear it, I believe anything is possible. . .if only for a moment.

hmm

My favorite is Universe of Energy. I wish they would add that song back into the ride. Even if they just play it when you walk out of the ride :)

Promise by Kellie Coffey, from Illuminations 2000

Its my favorite and everytime I hear it after Illuminations I start crying.

*BUMP*

I think i've found a new favorite. It's "Sharing a Dream Come True" from the 100 Years of Magic celebration. I heard it a few times during my College Program and I finally found a CD with it and I think i've just about worn it out listening to it. Such a touching song. And come to find out, its another one by Kellie Coffey (I guess I really like her voice).

Promise is a favorite as well of course :D
