What character dining experience to go for?

The sister and me are hoping to do one character dining experience but we're unsure of which one to go for, we're unfussy eaters so any style of food is good, as for which characters, well were in the 16-24 age band so are there any dining experiences which are better suited to this age group or are there one's which are aimed at younger attendants?
Also would you recommend breakfast over dinner or the other way around? Thanks :)

What characters are you looking to see? Is it a 16-24 boy who wants to see the princesses? ;) Or are you more into Winnie the Pooh & friends or the classic Disney characters? If food is not important it all comes down to who is appearing where!

1900 Park Fare is nice for a different character experience. Breakfast has Pooh, Tigger, the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins. Dinner has Cinderella, Prince Charming, the step sisters, the step mother, and if I remember correctly the Fairy Godmother does pics while you're waiting to be seated. I have not eaten either meal here for a couple of years but from what I remember both breakfast and dinner are very good.

:D Nah we're both girls, when we were younger we did the Crystal Palace for a breakfast and dinner as we both love Winnie the Pooh and friends, I'm quite a big fan of Lilo & Stitch and the sis likes the classic characters as do I. Do any of the Pixar characters appear at any of the dining experiences?

Decision made! You must do Ohana! You get to meet not just Lilo & Stitch but also Mickey! How can you beat that? :D I highly recommend Ohana for Breakfast but others also adore their dinner.

If you like Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto I'd also recommend the Garden Grill at the Land in Epcot. It's a smaller venue so you typically see the characters 3-4 times a piece during your meal which is awesome.

Beyond that I would've suggested Crystal Palace for breakfast... it is still our #1 choice. Breakfast at Cape May Cafe with Minnie is great too!

EDIT: I think there are still some Pixar characters at Hollywood & Vine at DHS but honestly my brain may be remembering wrong. :D

The characters only appear at breakfast. And it is an awesome breakfast - how can you beat "all you care to eat" bacon, eggs, sausage, french toast, etc. brought to your table so you don't even have to get up!!

Ohana, CRT, or Askerhaus are all great...Tusker House with Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Minnie isn't bad either.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions, will most certainly look into Ohana, and possibly the Crystal Palace for old times sake :D. I've heard that reservations can be hard to get if I leave it too late, how far in advance should I consider booking?

Personally I always say once you hit your 180 days, get on it! There's nothing worse than wanting an ADR for one place in particular and waiting too long and missing out!

We have two favorites of all the character meals we've had throughout the years:

1900 Park Fare for breakfast
Chef Mickey's for breakfast

We had 1900 Park Fare for dinner last year and it was the worst meal of our trip. Characters were great....food definitely was not. We are not really buffet eaters especially for lunch/dinner. If we do buffets we prefer breakfast definitely!
