What are the seasonal rides closed in December?

"Seasonal" rides at WDW tend to be less popular rides that they don't want to staff CMs at all the time. They vary over time, I don't think there's any way to say what rides will be treated as seasonal in December until December, but I could be wrong.

Refurbs, on the other hand, are usually scheduled in advance [as opposed to repair closures, which are done with little or no notice].

The Walt Disney World website lists some attractions as seasonal--I can't recall all of them, but they included Body Wars and Cranium Command. The address is

www.dsineyworld.disney.go.com
Body Wars and Cranium Command are (I believe) done. I don't think they will ever be used again.

As for Seasonal rides...I don't think there really are too many now a days. The only one that might be is Carousel of Progress, but lately, I think that's been open regularly. So I don't think you'll have to worry about Seasonal, unless there's simply a ride I"m forgetting about.

I am hoping COP is opened because we always go in November and Dec and I haven't seen it since 1996 - can anyone confirm it is opened in Dec this year? I looked on the Disney site and nothing there.

The only rides that are listed as seasonal are in WOL which are Cranium Command., Body Wars and Making of Me. The WOL pavillion is scheduled to be open during the Food and Wine fest for cooking presentations. Now last year WOL was open for Thanksgiving week and Christmas week and was rumored to never open the doors again, but here we see the pavillion being used again. We just may be surprised again this year during the holiday peaks with an open WOL.

COP has been off of seasonal status for almost 2 years and is open every day during regular hours.

Back in Feburary, a CM told us by contract Wonders of Life has to be open for at least 5 weeks out of the year. He said it will continue to be closed till Disney finds a new sponsor for the building.

Now I don't believe using the pavilion for the Food and Wine festival counts as one of the "5" weeks, but I could be wrong.
