Of showing up this weekend and getting in for one of the running events even though they say they are full online?

Do they fill voids left from no shows?

You stand a much better chance of hammering the active.com registration page. If any slots did magically open up, they would more than likely post them there. People have reported some opening a few days before the race happens.

Wish there was a way to transfer a 10k slot we have. Looks like my daughter is not participating come Jan.

Officially? Nope. If you re-read their policy you may be able to convince them to let you use it at a future race, but you need a really good reason why (usually medical).

Unofficially you may be able to find someone willing to work something out. If you are going to be there and pick it up it's easier than trusting a stranger with a copy of your daughters ID info.

Thanks, don't think I'll try the unofficial way. Is it too late to try to get it moved to a future race? My daughter had surgery for scoliosis in 08. She's done fine in 5k's at Disney but we have been more concerned this time w/pace and she just has been hurting with just trying to walk fast. Does Disney really sweep races if she was to do 18 minutes a mile? This she can do. But she doesn't want to enter only to be let down, I understand her thinking.

They do sweep the half and full courses by pacing the 16min mile from when the last runner started. One of the biggest reasons to sweep a course is to allow the roads to reopen for traffic. However, since the last 3.75ish miles are off public roads, I don't know if they will actually sweep. They don't sweep the 5k, (at least I've seen people finishing well outside the 16min pace) so I wouldn't be too surprised if they don't "sweep" the 10k, as there is no way to really get you off the course and back to the start other than you just walking in that direction anyways.
