Hi Everyone!

Well in 7 days we are off! My son will turn 5 on Wed and we will arrive in Disney on Sunday. What fun things can I plan for him? We are staying at the Poly concierge and I informed them that it is his birthday and they said they would have something in the room when we check in. We have PS's at the following: Chef Mickeys, Ohana's, 50's Prime Time, Ice Cream social at Epcot, & the Whispering Caynon Cafe. Do any of these places do anything for birthdays? Thnaks for your help!:) Disney here we come:cool:

Yes they do! Make sure that it is notated on all of your PS's while you are there. Make mention to your server also. Plan on cupcakes or cakes and Happy Birthday sung by the CM's and fellow patrons. At Chef Mickeys they will give him a Happy Birthday placemat and a It's my Birthday pin. Make sure he wears it for the whole trip. The concierge will probably do the balloons and a signed card from the characters. This is what they did at the Boardwalk concierge for my daughters birthday.

Def. purchase a Happy Birthday Multi-Tiered Light Up Cake Hat!! I have mine and I wear it on my birthday wherever I am, tho I've been lucky enough to celebrate numbers 20 and 21 at WDW.

He will get so much attention from all park goers and CMs. Everyone is more friendly than they usually are and you will get/should get so much extra special attention.

The hats can usually be bought at each park entrance on a cart, or in any hat shop throughout the park. You cant miss them, about 1.5 feet high, big red brim, candles that twinkle up top, blue and white icing with mickey as a decoration. Festive, yet classy.

Also, theres a special phone message at the entrance to the parks from a special character.

I was at Chef Mickeys for b-fast for my 21st this past year. Amazing amounts of extra attention from the characters. Chip fed me my cake, after spilling it on me and cleaning it up, and all the characters gathered for a shot at once. And our waitress was a nut--in a good way--and had our whole area going crazy during the celebratory song. They even sat us next to the window in a back room so we looked over MK, and there were really only like 5 or 6 tables. Very nice view. Most excellent.

I even managed to finaggle some FastPasses from some CMs who wished me a happy birthday with a FP gift for me and the family, they were so great.

Birthdays in Disney really are the best.
Happy Birthday to yours, and I hope all works out well, which I'm sure it will.
