Does anyone here remember Roy Disney's letter of resignation to Mr. Michael Eisner?

Specifically, do you remember #7 on his list?

Just read Jim Hill's latest article (http://www.jimhillmedia.com/articles/02132004.1.htm), where he mentions some interesting speculation, including #7....

"Your failure to establish and build constructive relationships with creative partners, especially Pixar, Miramax, and the cable companies distributing our products."

Let's disect this....

** (Remember, this was written before the current events) **

Pixar -- We know the undeal, the end of their partnership

Miramax -- News has it that this partnership about to go sour

Cable companies -- Excuse me???????

Either Roy Disney is a prophet or he is somehow behind the recent turn of events!!!!!

It is obviously no coincidence. Roy and Stan do not have the best interests of the Walt Disney Company at the heart of their plan. I view them both as base reincarnations of the Evil Queen from Snow White. They sent Snow White (Walt Disney Company) out of the secure castle and they sent the Huntsman (Comcast) to kill Snow White.

Let's hope the Huntsman reconsiders his mission. However, even if that happens, we still have to worry about the various evil spells that the Queen has the power to conjure! That poison apple thing is a worry.

Snow White needs the 7 Dwarfs to help her right now! Any volunteers?

I think Comcast is a pawn. Well, if anything, it's a truth: the company is so weak, that other companies are looking to buy in.

Roy and Stan kept Disney independent (basically) in the 80s when they brought in Eisner and Wells. Not to mention Roy's GENEROUS contribution monetary-wise...

...I just see history repeating itself. Hopefully!! :)

(P.S. Roy's points were obviously valid! )

Disneyland Resort Cable held Hostage by Comcast

Comcast has taken off the gloves in its hostile takeover bid for The Walt Disney Company. Spurned by embattled Disney CEO Michael Eisner, the cable giant quietly cut cable service to the Disneyland Resort on Thursday morning, leaving thousands of hotel guests and dozens of backstage cast member break rooms without cable service.

"Man, this freakin' sucks big time," said Arthur Bonney, an English professor with the University of California Davis, who was visiting the Resort with his family. "What's up with this? Why do they have to drag us into their little ing contest?"

Inside sources at Comcast who requested anonymity said that the service would be restored the day after Disney accepts Comcast's offer, sometime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
