The Walt Disney Co. Thursday said it took "appropriate action" against employees at its Paris theme park who were caught simulating _ _ _ while dressed as Disney characters in a digital video that has received wide attention on the Internet.

Disney would not say whether it had dismissed any of the costumed employees featured in the grainy video, which appears to have been shot with a hidden camera at a backstage dressing room at Disneyland Resort Paris.

"The behavior shown on the video is unacceptable and inexcusable," Disney said in a statement.

"The video was taken in the backstage area not accessible to guests. Appropriate action has been taken to deal with the cast members involved."
The video shows Minnie Mouse struggling to free herself as she is grabbed from behind by Goofy and then a giant snowman.

Later, Mickey Mouse simulates __ __ __ with the snowman and Goofy does the same with either Chip or Dale, the chipmunks, as laughter is heard on the tape.

Want a dissapointment. Why does American press always have to make this innaproprate material "headline news." What the society of the world has come down to......

This is a total embaressment to the Disney Company. The matters of employees doing these acts really are out of the company's control. I wish there was a possible way to remove this disturbing material from the internet and that the cast members involved are caught and FIRED. There are too many good, wholesome quality people wishing to become cast members that the Disney company could hire rather than hiring these irresponsible adults.

I am not goign to post them here as per WDWMagic's TOS. But I found (non-x rated) pics of the video if anyone is interested. I find this act very disturbing and hope the persons involved get punished to the full extent.

I agree with this statement. While I obviously would prefer that the CM's had not participated in this behaviour, the fact that it was behind the scenes indicates that it should have stayed there, but only if they were filmed unknowingly. If they were willing participants in the the video and intended to put it on the internet, then...off with their heads!

That is just wrong, wrong, wrong. I can't imagine what kids would think if they ever saw that video. And unfortunatly it's more then likely some have. That is the polar opposite of the Disney spirit.

Although I do have many friends who are or were CMs and I've heard worse stories that make me sick.

I am guessing that Disney is unable to fire the Cast members responcible, even if caught. While there recently we were able to catch the daily industral dispute parade which replaced the regular parade dowm main street. A small group of us from Australia visited every Disney park in the World and found the Cast at the Paris Parks far the worst. not only were they unfriendly, we found that they seemed anoyed when we asked questions or assitance when making purchises in the Park.

by the way, the best Cast members were the ones in japan, with the WDW ones a close second.

No kidding! (To both of your comments.) I saw this story a day or two ago...I thought it was really, really pathetic that these CMs considered this "funny" (also, nothing says smart thinking like filming yourself doing stuff that can and will get you fired. :hammer:)

I also had a number of CM friends over the last couple years...some of the stories I heard are crazy (not stories involving my friends mind you, thank goodness) even if only half of them are true.

OK, after a little searching online I just found the video. I am not saying it was right, but trust me folks, it wasn't anything too dirty, they were just being silly and childish.

Once again, not saying it was OK to do, especially when you work for Disney, but I saw it and wasn't offended in the least. The "simulation" part is actually very short. Most of the video, they are just laughing and goofing off. Just in case anybody was wondering.

What bothers me is a "hidden camera" in a dressing room.

Also, who released the footage from the camera to begin with, Disney? :veryconfu

My first thought of the headline was the CSI episode where people dress up as characters and "skrit", I believe that is what they called it.
Though it was "harmless" fun between co-works (everybody was laughing and no one stopped what was going on). It is clearly inappropriate behavior and those involved should be reprimanded if not fired. I have never seen a character actors handbook to know if this issue is addressed or not, which I assume inappropriate behavior in costume is strongly discouraged.
I am amazed that a manager was not promptly notified or the "characters" were not corrected by the handlers that were there. To me it looked as if they were in a common use hall way and greatful that no child was wandering around.
