We've got Disney Fever!

I have a constant "Disney Fever." But, my family definitely ebbs and flows with it's "longing for Disney." This morning made me smile, but also made my heart ache a little because it's just one of those days when all my family wants to do is go to Disney :(

This morning my DD8 woke up and said "Mom, when are we going to Disney?" To which I responded by pulling out my countdown on my iPhone (101 days). Although I tried to make her feel better by saying we were almost into double digits, she still huffed disappointingly, and shuffled over to TV. But instead of turning on the usual Spongebob, she turned on the Disney planning DVD to watch while she ate breakfast!

My DS4 then came downstairs and sat on the couch fixated on the Disney DVD; recounting every part of our last trip and what he can't wait to do this next trip (and then he asked how many "sleeps" until Disney mom?).

Then my DH came down (slept in late today from watching the eclipse last night ), made his cup of coffee in his Mickey mug, and sat right next to my DS to watch the DVD.

One by one, each of them got dressed for the day, and as we were walking out the door, I noticed that my DD had her Mickey barrette and bracelet on, my DS had his Mickey POTC shirt on (my DH dressed him), and my DH had his Mickey socks on!

Ever have one of those days?

Seriously, I have Spotify on my computer and I listen to the Disney Playlist over and over - whatever helps. I check out the Disney Food Blog every day and now I've been looking at the "Tips for Disney" all over...its like a sickness :) This site is a lifesaver too- between the pics, Trip reports, etc..

I always have Disney Depression LOL.
But I swear everytime we are weeks away from a trip, I see & hear Disney everywhere!
The other day a Siemens truck drove pass me and it made me think of SSE.
My job has played "Let it Go" "Nemo Egg" and "You've Got A Friend in Me" everyday since last week.
A car that drives in front of me everyday has the license plate that starts with DME making me think of the magical express.
My job sent out a notice about viruses in links and they used Disney's website as an example...
Disney everywhere!:D

We have the fever here as well! First there were weeks of planning and then two weeks ago we made our reservations, followed by our dinner and tour reservations. Even after 10 plus years of going to WDW, the fever barely subsides anymore. As I come closer to retirement age, we are now talking about getting a DVC, or even the possibility of moving to Orlando and working part time at WDW.

Major Disney fever here. We have a Disney themed wedding and a Disney World Honeymoon this year. Between planning our dining reservations, watching almost every single Disney movie in existence, listening to the music, planning out decorations/ideas for the wedding, and I just ordered our customized maps of the parks... it has been insane Disney fever in this house. It's contagious too! We have some people wanting to kill us because we've talked about Disney so much that they haven't been watching hardly anything but Disney and really want to go to WDW now.

But alas, I had to promise my fiance that we would take a break from Disney stuff until a month before the wedding so we don't burn ourselves out on it, which I can understand. So this site is pretty much the only Disney "thread" I have to hold onto for right now. That and I am secretly planning out our fastpass list because the time to reserve them is getting near.

Me and my sister listen to disney music in the car on the way to school, and home every single day. I don't think a single day will pass without me hearing some disney music (I'm talking about the park music, not the movie music).

I sure do. I moved down to Florida a year ago with my job from Washington DC my hometown and even living a hour from WDW I get itchy to go. Occasionally I'll grab my brother and sister in-law and some of our friends and just go to Downtown Disney last minute for the heck of it.

I have had Disney fever since returning from my first trip over a month ago. We have a year before we are heading back to the World (fingers crossed) and I am not sure I can wait that long. I tried to stay away from all things Disney thinking that would make the longing go away but it didn't work.

We have been packing one article of clothing each day in our suitcases for our May trip! Anything to make the countdown go faster ;) If it was up to my daughter she would have been completely packed and ready to walk out of the door 6 months ago! Yes, we have those days all the time.

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one. Right now I hop on the Disney App about 3 times a day to see if they have added the fast pass + for the Seven Dwarf Mine Train for my trip May 17.

I'm pretty sure I was born with this "Disney fever" that you all speak of. I was just down in Disney in January and have already booked my trip in October. (189 days to go). My fiance thinks i'm crazy. Although he came with me in January and we have plans to spend a few days at Disneyland before our all-inclusive honeymoon next year he's making me do the October trip with just the girls. He loves Disney but not with the passion I do so it's hard to fight the fever with him because he doesn't really get it. Luckily my best friend and roommate from the disney college program does. Not a day goes by that one of us isn't sending the other one a picture, link, clip or something disney related. I've mastered the avocado margarita served at La Cava Del Tequila in Epcot so when it gets real bad I make myself one of those and pretend i'm sitting in the Mexican Pavilion. :hungry:

That is so sweet! I love the, "how many more sleeps" :). H and I currently both have disney fever. It seems incurable hahah. I wish we could go this fall, and I know my brother and sister in law would join us in a heartbeat, we just feel like we should wait one more year :(. Why is it so hard?!?!

I think I'll take a tip from your h and go make some tea in my tinkerbell mug:).

I can relate. We had to purchase DVC because we have to go at least every 6 months... Please don't throw any rotten eggs but I only have 22 days before the next trip and I just can't stand it anymore!!! I need to go right now! I think it gets worse as I am getting older. I have a countdown timer and when I leave for my trip, I reset it as we are walking out the door so when I return home I can start the countdown all over again!

I don't know why I love that place so much. It's an addiction!
