I have no idea where it could go, but it'll be fun imagining it!

No offense, please Imagineer all you like, but you have NO REMOTE IDEA what WestCOT was/is supposed to be. According to what I've seen so far, you don't have any idea and I personally think this is sortof a "slap into the face" to the Imagineers who worked so hard on it.

I don't think anyone should touch this idea unless they know the original or at least know someone who worked on it. This seems like an EPCOT just using the WestCOT name and that is what's so upsetting about this. Sorry, keep Imagineering, but not in this manner. Imagineering requires research. - The WeirdOne :D

Well, excuse me Mr. WeirdOne, but I did my reasearch, trust me. According to articles from the Orange County Register in 1991, WestCOT was to be part of a $3 billion project which included the Disneyland Centre, which is sort of like Downtown Disney, a few new hotels, and Westcot Center. WestCOT would include "showcases of foreign lands and themed pavillions which explore the wonder of the human body, our natural enviroment and the universe. It would have a different look and feel from EPCOT, though, which I believe means it would be more futuristic looking and more lush green landscaping. The article also states that WestCOT would just be a take-off from the EPCOT name. WestCOT wouldn't be an exact replica, but would include more thrill rides with the educational theme still with the attractions, which I planned to create. The park's centerpiece would be a golden ball, similar to EPCOT's silver one. This would also include a slower thrill ride. WestCOT would offer a combination of the slow moving dark rides as well as high-tech thrill rides. Instead of the World Showcase, it would include the "Four Corners of The World", which would be Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. I since have changed the World Showcase plans to fit with this.

First, the OC Register isn't a reputable source, and second, work with some WDI and know the project. What the OC says is close to basic guidelines and in reality much incorrect.

It would have SOMEWHAT of a different feel and look, but not much. That is where you begin your mistakes. It was not more futuristic and lush and green mainly because it was in a SMALLER space surrounded by HOTELS. No futuristic, the entire Future World structure was to be UNDERGROUND, so, there goes the futuristic part. IT WAS a take-off and didn't include like ANY thrill rides. In fact, there was only 2 THRILL rides from what I've gathered.

That's where another of your problems comes in, Spacestation Earth was NOT a slow-moving thrill ride. It was Spaceship Earth expanded and made better in a 300 foot geosphere. And at least 97% of the rides were not thrill rides combined with slow moving dark rides. NOT AT ALL. Most of this park was infact SHOW, again, SHOW based, like EuroDisney was in the beginning. As for World Showcase, I'm glad you got something about this project right. It was divided into four corners. Now, please, don't try to argue with someone that has FAR more knowledge on WestCOT than you could ever FIND on the internet. - The WeirdOne :D
